Our residents love a team challenge, and this week’s Brain Gym session was full of laughter and strategy! 
Playing ‘Cover the Number’, teams of three rolled giant foam dice, crossing off numbers 1-12 in a race to victory. 
A Joyful Musical Moment at Esmere Gardens! 
Our residents had an absolute blast this week with Julia from Musical Moments, whose interactive session brought music, movement, and lots of smiles!
From ribbon dancing and toe-tapping rhythms to singing along and catching games, everyone joined in with energy and enthusiasm.
Quiet Moments & Pamper Time 
While group activities are always a hit at Esmere Gardens, sometimes a peaceful 1:1 pamper session is just what the soul needs.

Brum Adventures & Vintage Charm at the Motor Museum! 
Our residents had a fantastic day out aboard the Hedgehog Bus to the Motor Museum in Bourton-on-the-Water!
The sunshine made for a picturesque journey, and the museum was packed with vintage treasures—from classic cars and bikes to retro toys and even the much-loved Brum!

Our Dementia Café is a warm, welcoming space where families, carers, and individuals living with dementia can share experiences, find support, and enjoy a friendly chat.
John & Duncan: A Special Friendship 
Our wonderful resident John and his best four-legged friend Duncan the Dalmatian have shared a heart-warming bond ever since they met just before John’s 100th birthday last November.
At 13 years old (around 74 in dog years!), Duncan’s playful energy never fails to make John laugh1
Easter Wreath Making with Abby! 
We’ve officially started our Easter preparations at Esmere Gardens!
With the help of the wonderful Abby, residents enjoyed a creative afternoon designing beautiful spring wreaths to hang on their doors and feature in our Easter Bistro display. 
Our Beautiful Easter Display is Here! 
The Bistro at Esmere Gardens is now full of springtime cheer, thanks to our wonderfully creative residents! 
Gretel arranged a stunning flower basket, Rita knitted the sweetest ducks and eggs, and everyone joined in to decorate our rattan rabbit, hang handmade wreaths, and display their colourful cards.
Easter Fun with the Moreton Beavers! 
Our Easter celebrations continued with a joyful intergenerational egg hunt alongside the wonderful Moreton Beavers group!
The children sat with residents to make personalised Easter bonnets and cards, followed by delicious chocolate crispy nests handmade by our residents the day before.
Easter Cards Full of Heart & Imagination!
Last week, our residents got crafty with a wonderful Easter card-making session, using a variety of materials and techniques.
Some created detailed pictures freehand, others used foam shapes for a textured finish—perfect for those with visual impairments.
🐥🌼 Kindness, Crafts & Chocolate – What a Day! 🍫💛
We were thrilled to host the Moreton Beavers for more than just Easter fun—they also helped us give back.
Our resident Rita knitted 20 adorable chicks with hidden cream eggs inside, which the Beavers purchased with their pocket money.
🐾 Furry Visitors Always Welcome! 🐶🐕
We’re lucky to have many four-legged friends visit us at Esmere Gardens—some come with relatives, others with friends, but all are greeted with open arms and loving fusses by our animal-loving residents. 💛
The joy these furry visitors bring is truly heartwarming—and there’s always room for one more wagging tail! 🐾
🎤 Singalong with Barry is Always a Hit! 🎶💃
Last week we welcomed back one of our residents’ favourite entertainers—Barry!
His upbeat renditions of 40s, 50s and 60s classics had everyone singing along, clapping, and even conducting the music from their seats! 🕺🎤
