These adorable 7-week-old fluffballs, owned by resident George’s granddaughter, were the stars of the day—bringing joy, cuddles, and smiles to everyone they met. 
A Historical Day Out at Cogges Manor Farm 
To round off our August trips, we explored the stunning Cogges Manor Farm—famous as Yew Tree Farm from Downton Abbey! 
Our residents loved this 1,000-year-old gem, with hands-on experiences inside the manor and a stroll among the animals.
Tabletop Bowling Masterclass! 
Tabletop Bowling Championship reached new heights as our residents took strategy and skill to the next level! With hidden scores under each cup, the tension built as everyone tried to suss out the best placements after round one.
Think Fast, Throw Smart at Esmere Gardens! 
Our residents had a brilliant time this week playing one of their favourite games—‘Something You…’—a fun-filled activity that gets the mind whirring, the beanbags flying, and the laughs flowing! 
Making Waves with Maritime Art! 
As you can sea below, we’ve been getting creative at Esmere Gardens with a nautical twist! Our residents made ‘waves’ with a vibrant maritime-themed art session led by the ever-wonderful Abby.
Each canvas was thoughtfully prepped to inspire imagination—and even included real Bolsa wood bows to bring each boat to life! 
A Surprise Esmere Gardens Visitor – Meet Smartie the Pony!
George received the most heart-warming surprise when his granddaughter—fresh from Pony Club Camp—popped by Esmere Gardens with a very special guest… her new pony, Smartie! 
A Step Back in Time at Chastleton House 
Our residents enjoyed a beautiful visit to Chastleton House and Gardens—our stunning local stately home dating back to the 1600s.
From a fascinating virtual tour to a relaxing stroll through the picturesque gardens, it was a real treat for our keen gardeners.
Singalong Joy with MindSong 
We had a joyful visit from the lovely MindSong volunteers recently!
They had our residents tapping, smiling, and harmonising to familiar tunes—including a perfect finish to a split round of Pack up Your Troubles and It’s a Long Way to Tipperary. 
Furry Friends Return to Esmere Gardens! 
We had a very cuddly visit from Jenna and Julie—the beloved guinea pigs who are always happy to snuggle with our residents.
Jean and Jill couldn’t stop smiling while giving the furry duo a gentle fuss.
