Introducing… The Esmere Singers! 
Last week’s MindSong afternoon struck just the right note when we discovered several talented singers among our residents!
Before long, the whole room was joining in a joyful chorus of “I’m Getting Married in the Morning” — and just like that, The Esmere Singers were born! 
Autumn Wreath Creations at Esmere Gardens! 
Last week, our residents spent a wonderfully crafty afternoon with Abby, bringing the beauty of autumn indoors.
Using a variety of foraged materials and well-prepared bases, everyone got creative designing their very own seasonal wreaths to hang proudly on their room doors. 
All Aboard for a Memorable Day Out! 
We recently enjoyed a fabulous day aboard the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, travelling from Toddington Station to Cheltenham Racecourse and back to Broadway!
Thanks to the GWR’s wheelchair-adapted carriage, some of our less mobile residents were able to join in the adventure, making it an inclusive and joy-filled outing for all.
Feel the Beat with Nicki’s Drum Fitness! 
The brilliant Nicki brought rhythm, movement, and a touch of opera to Esmere Gardens with an energetic drum fitness session!
Residents grabbed their mouse pads and drumsticks, learned some basic beats, and played along to music from all genres — singing, laughing, and making as much joyful noise as they pleased! 
Spooktacular Fun with the Moreton Beaver Scouts! 
Our residents had a frightfully fun time with the Moreton Beaver Scouts, who joined us for an intergenerational Halloween craft session! Together, they created colourful bunting to decorate our Bistro — even the piano stool got a spooky makeover!

Furry Friends Bring Smiles All Round!
We welcomed back some familiar furry visitors — Jenna and Julie, our much-loved rabbits!
These two adorable ladies spent the day hopping between laps for cuddles, soaking up strokes, and spreading joy wherever they went. 
Celebrating Ted’s Birthday!
We recently celebrated our wonderful resident Ted’s birthday in true Esmere Gardens style — with plenty of cake, laughter, and love.
Ted spent the morning being thoroughly spoiled with thoughtful gifts, cards, and warm wishes from his friends, his Esmere Gardens family, and his beloved wife.
A Birthday Treat for Our Newcastle Super Fan! ️
Our much-loved resident and devoted Newcastle United super fan, Eddie, enjoyed a fantastic birthday surprise from all of us at Esmere Gardens.
His face said it all when he unwrapped the latest Newcastle cap — pure joy! 
A Musical Trip Through the Decades with Barry!
We were delighted to welcome back one of our residents’ favourite entertainers for a lively afternoon filled with hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Barry, as always, did not disappoint — his warm energy had everyone singing along, tapping their toes, and clapping their hands in time to the music.
A Magical Afternoon with Philip Hayman
Philip Hayman’s informal concert was a real treat for our residents recently.
Having toured nationwide with the Welsh National Opera and performed in countless musicals, Philip brought with him a wonderfully varied repertoire spanning many genres.
Competitive Spirits at Esmere Gardens! 
One of our residents’ much-loved games is Cover the Number, and it never fails to bring out a wonderful blend of laughter, focus and friendly rivalry.
Whether played individually with small dice or as a lively team game with our big foam dice, it’s always a highlight of the week!

Celebrating Gretel’s Jigsaw Success!
Here at Esmere Gardens, we love finding activities that reflect each resident’s personal interests, passions, and pastimes.
So it was a real joy to see Gretel, one of our very first residents, light up when she completed a jigsaw again — something she has always enjoyed.
